Building Hope. Restoring Dignity. Strengthening Resilience.
Build Hope Foundation (BHF) is a community-based organization working with vulnerable children, families, and communities in Northern Uganda to improve well-being, strengthen resilience, promote inclusion, and create sustainable pathways to self-reliance.
We bring communities, government, development partners, and local actors together to deliver integrated, community-driven solutions across health, nutrition, livelihoods, WASH, protection, education, humanitarian response, climate resilience, and community empowerment.
An integrated response to interconnected challenges
Build Hope Foundation is a Community-Based Organization committed to improving the well-being, resilience, and dignity of vulnerable children, families, and communities. We work across the humanitarian-development nexus, responding to immediate needs while supporting recovery, resilience, inclusion, and long-term self-reliance.
Our approach recognizes that the challenges facing vulnerable households are interconnected. Poor health can affect education and livelihoods; food insecurity can worsen health and nutrition; inadequate housing and WASH can increase vulnerability; and social exclusion can limit access to essential services.
BHF therefore promotes integrated solutions that address these interconnected challenges together.
